What’s a thing you wish schools actually taught?

Something I wish that they taught in school, would be the simplest answer and that is “common fucking sense”. There are things that we all know and sometimes when we have to tell someone else about it you would say “hello, common sense!” It never happens, but when it does it is a surprise that people do know their surroundings, rather than blindly walking into various spaces. It seems like no matter where you go or even when you think everyone should know, you get that one that is like “huh?” I guess the great thing is that we all teach each other, so eventually there are some people that know what they are doing compared to those that have no idea. I have to tell you that for someone that deals with mental issues it does not make it any easier to deal with the people that were not taught certain common sense. 

Having mental health problems makes it that much easier for someone to get on our nerves and then we feel like “stabby”. I know I am not the only one that has felt like that. Then there is a problem that I have seen not just in my family, but in other families where they kick the military people more as they are trying to get back on their feet. We should be helping our fellow veterans rather than kicking them while they are down. I know for a fact that my family does that I do not mean my husband or daughter. I am talking about those that say they are blood related to me, but I do not consider them in that way. I pick and choose my family, because I am not of the Walter’s or Nelson’s as much, because out of all people married in my family it seems like I am the only one that was willing to take my spouses last name instead of these hyphen bullshit names. 

Yes I am a Castano, but I am a very unique one, because I don’t let anyone get me down or make me feel like I am less than I am, but I did live in El Paso for 10 years and even during that time the cartel were bad. Like the neighbor down the street has been killed by the cartel through shots and then we heard about the decapitations and eventually we moved. Thankfully we got out of there before it began to be the way that it is now. Overall I can say that if you know your “common sense” then your life will be that much easier. If not, what can I say, you’ll get smacked more lol. What would you want school to teach other than “common sense”?
