Best/Worst Pets

Daily writing prompt
What animals make the best/worst pets?

Well I was raised as a cat person, ever since I was a little girl I have always had a cat. The first cat I had was named Norris and he came to me on a motorcycle by way of my mom’s son Bob. Throughout the years I had cats come and go, but that was their mistakes for being young and not learning the world right away. So I would either hear that the cat had been decapitated by the engine, or ran over, and even taken away by the owls. All my cats were both indoor and outdoor cats. My last cat was named “Olaq”, which in Nahuatl it translates into “almost.” He died at an old age and naturally, after that I have not gotten any other cats. Now my husband and daughter have their own cats. My husband has a calico cat named “Owwies,” because she looks somewhat like an Owl. My daughter has a black and white cat that looks like a panda, but also has distinctive marks that made me nickname her “Baby Hitler.” Well these are the two cats that have changed my mind on cats, once they pass later in their old age. They are the last, now I didn’t become a dog lover until I got my first dog when I was 12.

Although my first dog was when I was 12, but I would have to say that the best pets are Rottweilers or a mix of Rottie, like our pride and joy Chubz. Now he is a breed I like to refer as “Reagle”, half Rottweiler and half Beagle. Overall I have had 6 Rottweilers in my life and 3 I hold dear to my heart. I have stories on each of the Rottweilers that we have had and how they grew old, as much as they could. The three I am referring to are my Cucuy, my Joe Joe, and my Kiko. Even though I just lost my 6th Rottie Joe Joe, I am still interested in getting some Rottie’s because my family trains them to protect and help family. They are just big teddy bears, in other words they are like “Dale”, from “Dale and Tucker VS. Evil.” Great movie and also a cute big dog that is described to be a big marshmallow. Want a family bond that is strong and lets the dog know they are trusted and vice versa, get a Rottie, but of course you have to do your part and train not ignore.
