Diva Rottie #3

Now after losing Kiko, I decided to get my husband a Rottie for himself and I found her through a Rescue for Great Danes. At the time they said that her name was Heidi, of course we changed that afterwards. Once they brought her to our house she ran to Nick right away and I knew that he was in love. Supposedly they stated that she was like 3 years old, but later we would find out that she was way older than they thought, because her teeth were missing in the front. However, the crazy thing is I gave Diva that name from an anime I used to watch called “Blood +” and there were twin sisters and the deadliest one was named Diva and that is how she got that name. Besides the fact that she did also act like a Diva and she was actually the first female Rottie we had.

However, when she attacked Shnookums , which was a no no, because she was the known Alpha female and when she did do that, the rest of the dogs that were present and witnessed what she had done and they all ganged up on her and attacked. From then on she would watch what she would do. However, when we lived in El Paso, Diva was always around with Cucuy. We would walk along the canal towards Tigua smoke shop at the time. They were trained so well that they did not need a leash to hold them. Even when I was going to school at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Diva, Cucuy, and a third Rottie we got and went by the name of Tito. During the time that I was in school there were times when I needed to make a video of something and I remember when my daughter was like 4 and I needed a video of her playing with the dogs. The one thing that was so cute about having Diva was that in the video she is being hugged by my babygirl.

So that is 3 rottie’s down, I will tell the story on the next one, but when it comes to our rottweilers/dogs, we are all about making sure that they are trained correctly and in a manner that enhances their guardianship. Eventually Diva would die at the age of 12, but not from natural causes, which sucks. Actually out here where I live they sometimes put out Coyote poison and well I guess she fell for it and ate a bit. Poor thing she suffered to the end because she took that poison and there was no way of saving her, so she would pass away, but that would be here in Rocksprings. She was probably only female we have had that was obedient and was hella scary when it came to protecting her family.
