My dream dog!

First of all I was just a cat person, but after losing each cat to some sort of accident, whether it was from sleeping in the engine, sleeping on the tires, owl’s taking them, and some old age. I think I was about 11 when I saw the movie “Man’s Best Friend” and of course it is a horror movie and it has to do with this lab that is testing stuff on animals. This dog when I saw him, knew that he was part Rottweiler, but mixed. He went by the name “MAX” and in the movie he is this genetically enhanced dog, that they are trying to weaponize, so he has various abilities aside from being a very intelligent dog. Of course the dog didn’t survive, but after the movie that was what I wanted.

One day my parents go to Albuquerque, while I am in school and go into the Winrock Mall when it was a mall and I thought one of the best, but when my parents entered the mall through the south entrance there was a setup where they were having an adoption of some pups. My dad picked one that was part Chow part German Shepherd and was female. Then there was the one they thought I would like like and he also had a twin sister, but they got just the boy. Supposedly he was part Rottie and I guess that is what intrigued my parents to choose him. However, he did not look anywhere like a Rottie, but looked more like a dingo from Australia. Either way he was my first dog and I named him MAX after the one in the movie. The other dog that my dad chose was named LADY, like from Lady & the Tramp. He lived to be 13, but had died when I was living in El Paso.

When my husband and I lived in Socorro to be exact, just an outskirt of El Paso on the South side. After we moved into a better place I thought that we needed a dog and I started to search for a Rottie, which I found in Deming, NM. I picked him up and he was only 6 months, but huge. The shelter stated that he was a Rottie mix, but after looking at him I could tell he was a German Rottweiler, but he had his tail, so that made him look more vicious. I ended up naming him “KIKO”, after him I ended up going to a Rottie Rescue that was in the North area and he was 2 yrs old and he was also a German Rottie with the docked tail. I named him “CUCUY” and he was a teddy bear, but vicious if anyone got near me. Then I decided to get my husband a Rottie as well and she was named “DIVA”. Next was or baby boy “TITO” who was just a skinny Rottie. The next Rottie was named “CAMILLE”, but she was a bitch, so we had to give her up. Last is the one I saw available in Albuquerque and he was then named “JOEJOE”. Of course each has a different story, but I will save that for other days of writing.
