Why do you say that you married your stalker?

Well this one trips everyone out, but after finishing basic and AIT I was shipped to South Korea as my first duty station, and I guess according to my husband now he stated that once I got out of the vehicle and put my foot down stepping out of the van I had been in all day. He said it was like time stopped. Guess he was on one of the floors watching me, and I did not notice this until later that this guy was always standing at the window looking out and I guess wanting to talk to me, I was too creeped out that I would literally run up the stairs as fast as I could, or I would take the back stairwell! We first saw each other in 2001, which we started our relationship during December, so we have been together for 25 years this year in December and 24 married by court and 23 married in traditional Navajo ceremony conducted by my uncle Roy!

It’s also very rare that two people come together and they are both US Army soldiers, each in different divisions and jobs. His background was in transportation and mine was in Signal. I guess after all the trauma I had endured and was trying to keep it hidden without going crazy, just assumed that he knew that my rape had taken place way before we were dating? When he did find out it was literally 20 years later and he finally knew that the way I was acting wasn’t really me. Either way my husband has always had my back and even though its been a hell of a life with him and that our daughter is growing up as well, we have always put in the work that it takes to make a relationship work even when we are both soldiers. Either way I guess it was like when Harley fell for Joker, is just the same way that I fell for my husband. However, I am the one that is nicknamed Joker, but he has always been by my side.

I guess the great thing about being married to your stalker is the fact that they do not stop falling in love with you and if they are the one then it shows like the way we are. We finish each other’s sentences, say the same thing at the same time, and we pretty know each other that trust has grown, but only with my husband and daughter. We all have that connection and that is the best one, so I would not give up on this easily, because they are my true family. At times I did want to give up, but marriage ain’t easy, but there are people that have it in various ways that work for the way they are as a couple. If you happen to find the one that you can’t do without and have a great connection with in every way, don’t let fate pass you by, because that person could be that one that gets you in every way. After all these years I will admit that I Love my Husband always! My true battle buddy.
