Too Young they say!

This will refer to the factor that when I did get pregnant with my daughter when I was 20 and decided to visit my parents in Rocksprings for a bit and eventually went to a place that had real good food. At the time it was still Dominic’s Pizza and I ran into my friends mom that was also a partial owner. I knew Kim, because I mean growing up I had a crush on her son. I told her I was married and that I would be having my baby in July, she literally gave me a bad look and said a loud, “you are to young to be having kids!” I gave her a mean look and was like, I’m going to eat and head home.

I may have been young to be pregnant and married, but my mom was pregnant at 18 with my older sister and married at that same time. Another example is my grandparents who at the time of their marriage they were 12 yrs. old (grandma) and 20yrs. old (grandpa). Then again they were also in an arranged marriage, but over the years would have many kids, but my grandparents were special to me, because I guess they saw my mom and much more in me. I guess you can say that I get my strength from them. If I was too young, then why am I still married to this day and I also have a full grown daughter that turned 21 this year.

She is the greatest creation of mine, I would do anything for her, and if I had a heart, she is it. My daughter is also my best friend, because she is like my exact copy, but a little more crazy. Funny that I was told I was too young, when I was trying to get pregnant in Korea and the doctors ended up telling me that I would not be able to have kids ever. Well I proved that doctor wrong, but the pain of knowing you can’t create life is very painful and you begin to doubt and tell yourself that you are being punished for other shit happening to me. Overall I am proud to say I raised a fine young woman who is independent and knows for certain her mom and dad love her to the moon and back!
