When was the first time you saw a skinwalker?

We will get to that answer soon, but I have to explain what a skinwalker is and what they are capable of. First off this is usually a medicine person that chose to go dark, in some cases people don’t even know that they are being controlled by something like this. It’s normal wear is various skins from animals, but they are fast and can somehow get out of your eyesight like in a blink, they smell of death, and overall horrible looking. It is also said that they only people that are powerful enough to encounter such a being is by being a very powerful individual such as a medicine man.

So what I am about to share may seem weird, but it did happen to me. I was actually 5 when I saw my first skinwalker. I was asleep in the trailer at the time when we just moved to Rocksprings, so we didn’t even have a fence line as well as curtains on my window. So my mom would have a nightlight for me, just in case. However, one morning I woke up in the middle of the night and I looked out the window, half-asleep, and trying to focus my eyes on what I just witnessed. So I just laid back down, got comfortable and fell asleep again.

I guess the great thing is I had pieces of glass between myself and it, but I was not scared, just kind of like “why are you at my window?” Aside from that of course I thought of it as a dream, but soon realized that I had seen one face to face. I mean anyone could be one, but usually it’s by killing someone in your family for you to shape shift into those dark things. Even to this day I don’t scare easily and I think that this moment is why, or I’m just a demon in a human body and you think you know me, but you have no idea.
