Bruce Lee’s Birthday NOT Thanksgiving!

Well today is the 16th and it is getting closer and closer to my trauma, but I am doing pretty good so far, but I will not be celebrating Thanksgiving anymore, but luckily I saw that it landed on Bruce Lee’s Birthday, which if you know me; I very much look up to him for my strength! November 27th is the day that Bruce was born. So more than likely I will be eating and watching nothing but Bruce Lee movies. To include his sons “The Crow”.

Bruce has been a big part of my life, because ever since I was 5 I always enjoyed the martial arts. He has also been the force that motivates me to be me as well as using his spirit as inspiration to help me with various situations. In other words when I was partially paralyzed, I looked to Bruce for help, also knowing that he strived to walk again. That is the exact reason why I pushed myself to recover with the chronic back pain I deal with and got from trying to move the surgical table in the Operating Room. Years after that I have been through physical therapy, drugs for my back, and spiritual healing through my culture.

He’s such a mentor because he always had great spiritual advice which were also recorded in his book’s like: Tao of Jeet Kune Do and Be Water, My Friend! Bruce is not only a legend, but the one person that made me love martial arts in all its forms. Yes, I like to watch fighting movies. Examples: Tai Chi Master with Jet Li, Ip Man with Donnie Yen, to even include the one movie that featured Bruce Lee as the main idea and that movie is Berry Gordy’s The Last Dragon. Overall Bruce will always inspire me to become better than I am.
